Image coloring with Channel Mixer and Selective Color

Get the high contrast brown/red/yellow coloring in Photoshop using the Channel Mixer and Selective Color. Some examples shown below:




1. Open you image. Duplicate the image. Set the duplicate layer to Soft Light.

2. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. Change to this settings for the Reds only:
Cyan: -100
Magenta: 0
Yellow: 100
Black: 70

3. Next, go to Later > New Adjustment Layer > Channel Mixer. Change the settings for the output channel, Red to these:
Red: +74
Green: -2
Blue: -14
Constant: 0
Uncheck Monochrome option.

4. You might wanna reduce the opacity of the duplicate layer in Step 1 until you find something you like.
